Biography:
Clone Trooper (Kamino) refers to any of the genetically engineered soldiers created on the planet Kamino for the Grand Army of the Republic. Their existence and rapid deployment were key to the Republic's survival during the Clone Wars.
Created from the DNA of bounty hunter Jango Fett, the clones were designed for absolute obedience and combat effectiveness. Fett received substantial payment and requested one unaltered clone, designated Boba Fett, as his son.
The Kamino clones were bred and trained from infancy in various combat disciplines. They were given specialized instruction on different planets and vehicles. Some were created to be elite units with special training such as ARC troopers.
While possessing free will, the clones were programmed with behavioral modification which would trigger in certain situations. This was particularly evident through Order 66, a command which designated all Jedi as traitors and caused the clone army to turn against them.
Following the Clone Wars' conclusion and the rise of the Galactic Empire, the remaining clones formed the core of the Imperial stormtroopers. They were slowly phased out by natural-born recruits and died out in time.
